Sally is a Consultant to Turners Solicitors LLP. She retired from the Partnership on the 31st March 2009 because she wanted greater flexibility in her working arrangements. Sally enjoys the challenge of advocacy and deals regularly with the Lands Tribunal and the Court of Technology and Construction.
Building Disputes and Construction Law. Sally is experienced in dealing with both adjudication and the court process in relation to Construction Law and Building Disputes. She is used to working under pressure.
Landlord and Tenant. Sally has acted for a number of landlords in relation to lease renewals for commercial premises pursuant to the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. Often complex questions arise and a detailed knowledge of the provisions of the 1954 Act are important. Sally acts for landlords and tenants a like on dilapidation claims and claims for compensation for failure to repair at the end of the lease.
A proactive lawyer, Sally has just completed a term as president of the Bournemouth and District Law Society. Sally is a qualified CEDR (Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution) mediator and a firm believer in mediation to promote dispute resolution. Sally says "Long drawn out litigation destroys businesses and seldom achieves client satisfaction. I believe in working with the client to achieve early resolution of the problem, at an economic price, so allowing people to return to running their businesses".
