Criminal Law

Turners has one of the best criminal law practices in Central Southern England. Led by partner Robert Renshaw, we have a reputation for excellence in helping people at all stages in the criminal process, from interview at the police station right through to trial in the Crown or Magistrates Court and, if necessary, appeal.

During working hours you can contact our team on 01202 291291 or ask for us at the Police Station.

Road Traffic Law
Never before has the motorist been so closely scrutinized and road traffic law so rigorously enforced.

Police forces and Local Authority partnerships use cameras, electronic devices, laser equipment etc. to prosecute a large number of motorists and the chances of you, or a key member of your work force, losing their driving licence is far more likely now than ever before for relatively minor road traffic infringements. All of this in the name of road safety.

Our specialist advocates appear in court daily and have a wealth of experience and expertise in helping clients stay on the road. Turners defence advocates have an excellent reputation and have represented members of the judiciary; police officers; solicitors and other professionals facing prosecution for motoring offences throughout the South of England. We regularly advise and represent corporate clients. Contact Doug Derrick and Robert Renshaw.

Prompt and efficient advice is available followed by representation at court by one of our experienced Defence Advocates.

We have access to approved experts to assist in the technical aspects of electronic enforcement equipment.

We deal with all aspects of Road Traffic Law, in particular:

  • Speeding
  • Totting up disqualification
  • Pleas of exceptional hardship
  • Special Reasons
  • Notices of Intended Prosecution/requirements to identify driver
  • Dangerous driving etc.
  • Special defences of duress/necessity
  • Drink driving law
